They Ran For The Hill!
SHHS PTSA members and volunteers relax after the clean up is done!
The 5K Run for THE HILL attracted 427 runners this year, up from 267 last year, and had over 70 volunteers.  Teachers, principals, school board members, city commissioners, area runners and walkers supported the event that raised over $6,000.   The support of the community makes a direct impact on the students of Science Hill.
All proceeds benefit PTSA programs such as Reflections, Citizenship and Safety student programs as well as grounds beautification, teacher/staff appreciation, Activities Day, and student scholarships.   In addition, the 2007 race generated funds to allow PTSA to give more than $2,500 back to SHHS in the form of teacher/staff wish list requests.   “We hope to give more in this area this year and we were very pleased with the support for the race  from SHHS teachers and staff,” said Misty Davis, PTSA president.
